Jim Bonham Addresses Employee Ownership Research Scholars
Jim Bonham, the President and CEO of The ESOP Association and Employee Ownership Foundation, was again invited to address the attendees of the Mid-Year Fellows Workshop in Honor of Louis O. Kelso, held at Rutgers University through its Institute for the Study of Employer Ownership and Profit Sharing. The Employee Ownership Foundation is one of the chief sponsors of the event, and through its donations the Institute funds Kelso Fellows who conduct important research on ESOPs and employee ownership.
His address touched on a variety of topics, updating attendees on the many public policy areas affecting ESOPs currently under consideration in Congress and by the incoming Administration, and the important role research has in supporting those efforts. In addition, Jim discussed the EOF’s successful and ongoing international efforts, private equity’s high-profile entry into employee ownership, and many of the significant legal issues and court cases facing the ESOP community.
